Vision & Connector

Having a bird’s eye view of business, technology and product goals places me in a position as a common denominator where I draw connections across multiple channels to orchestrate the best experience. I am curious about future industry opportunities and focus on pushing boundaries to see what’s possible, while having a clear vision of where the team is headed and how they are going to get there.

 

Design Foundation

I believe UX leaders need to have deep experience in research and design and can get their hands dirty when needed. By having this foundation, I have the ability to better plan work, hire the right talent, provide coaching and set up good processes. Also, I can relate to the designers and gain their trust and empathy which helps with the team’s engagement and morale.

 

Collaboration & Communication

I foster an environment where collaboration rules. Whether it’s bringing together a cross-functional team for a workshop, working with stakeholders, or facilitating design critiques. Working through opportunities together generates more creative ideas and aligns teams to the end goal.

 

Coaching & Mentoring

I believe in making myself available to the team providing them design and professional feedback, listening and getting to know each designer on an individual basis. My goal is to guide, inspire and create synergy to enable the team to produce great product designs.

Process & Planning

Applying structure to teams gives them confidence, direction and transparency which are key ingredients for success. I lead both in-house and remote designers, so keeping us aligned is important to move us forward.
