When I was working at Marx McClellan Thrun in Milwaukee, I was part of a team that worked on Strive Media Institute’s capabilities brochure. Strive Media Institute is a non-profit mentoring and training program that provides at-risk high school students with the opportunity to gain real-world knowledge in the field of mass communications. They were looking to better communicate to businesses that target youth markets that they are “their link to teens” by providing focus groups and marketing communication services. I worked alongside another designer and we were responsible for the concept, photography, layout, typography and print production of the piece. It won a Bell Award of Excellence from BMA Milwaukee (Business Marketing Association).
